The Heart Behind Boswellia


Welcome to Boswellia Candle Co., a family-owned business in Dedham, Massachusetts, where handcrafted candles and Scripture come together to bring faith, comfort, and encouragement into every home.

Our journey began when my husband and I searched for a meaningful candle to send to a family going through a difficult time. We wanted something beautiful, high quality, and rooted in faith, but we could not find anything that truly reflected that. So we felt called to create it ourselves.

Each candle is made with 100 percent soy wax and poured into vessels we handcraft using concrete and non-toxic materials. Every detail is intentional, from designing our own molds to pairing each candle with scripture.

What means the most to us is seeing our candles shared with others during life’s hardest moments. Many are sent as gifts to bring comfort, encouragement, and peace. That is the reason Boswellia Candle Co. exists.

The Story Behind Our Name

Our name, Boswellia, is inspired by the Boswellia tree, the source of the renowned Frankincense resin. For centuries, this extraordinary tree has been cherished for its fragrant resin, celebrated for its spiritual, medicinal, and aromatic qualities. A symbol of resilience and a timeless connection between nature and faith, the Boswellia tree holds a sacred place in history.

The resin and oils from the Boswellia tree have been used in anointing, purification, and spiritual rituals, representing healing and a profound connection to the divine. By embracing this name, we honor its rich heritage and spiritual significance. It reflects our mission to create candles that go beyond fragrance, infusing each one with meaning, purpose, and a sense of peace.
